Maw Maw was so sweet to drive in to help Tyler celebrate Grandparents Day at his school. I wish I had videotaped his little face when I told him Maw Maw was going to school with him. A moment I don't want to forget. He was clapping saying Yay! Yay! Yay! He absolutely loved having her there and did not want to leave her side. We had breakfast at his school and he got to show Maw Maw around to meet his teachers and see his classroom. What a wonderful day for Tyler! Thank you Maw Maw!!

Tyler had his first day of school today! He woke up super excited running through the house and dancing in circles. He was especially excited about his back pack. Once we got there, he got very nervous and wanted mama. But I left him with no tears and he was busily playing with cars. I was so ready to pick him up at noon and he had a great first day!!

Eric, the boys and I headed up the road to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. It is always so wonderful to be with Eric's family. We played, ate a ton, and enjoyed visiting with everyone. The boys were very excited to see snow! Uncle Aaron taught them how to make and throw snowballs!

Halloween 2010

We had a great time at Halloween. Both of the boys were superman. At first, Tyler did NOT want to put on his costume. He can be very particular about what he wears. But after I put his favorite USC shirt underneath he was good to go. And once we were outside he was so happy. We went through our neighborhood collecting lots of candy. Hudson knew just what to do and ran the whole time:) Tyler loved getting candy and would take as much as they would let him:)

Sky Top Orchard

On Friday, we went to Hendersonville, NC to visit Sky Top Orchard. It was such a fun family day. The boys had so much fun running through the orchard. Tyler filled up his basket quickly with rocks and rotten apples from the ground. Hudson was more patient and waited until we found some apples to pick from the trees. The orchards were beautiful and the weather was perfect. We got some apple cider and hot donuts and then headed to Flat Rock for pizza and ended the day with a hike. So fun. I am already ready to go back! And now I just need to learn to bake an apple pie with all these apples!

So excited it's finally time for college football. We love USC football and were excited to bring Hudson to the first game of the season where we beat Southern Miss!
He had SUCH a fun time. Thankfully it was a high scoring game because the highlight for him was the fireworks that went off everytime we scored. And of course Cocky!

Hudson First Day of Pre K

Hudson started Pre K at Ben Lippen this week. He absolutely loves his new school and his new teacher, Mrs. Fleming. Although I could tell he was a little nervous, he had no problem walking right in and telling me bye. I am so excited about his year and all the other families we have already met at the school. When I asked him he of course said his favorite thing was playing on the playground. His teacher commented to Eric when he was picked up that Hudson was quite a talker:) Hopefully he'll learn quickly when he is allowed to do that!

Ty is Two!

It is so hard to believe that my BABY boy is two! We have had such a fun, sweet, cuddly two years with this cutie. He has been such a laid back, quiet, easy going boy. He is a mama's boy and I love it. I hear "mama" and "up" all day long. He loves to play with his brother, wrestle with daddy, carry around his teddy bear, push his truck around, drink juice, look at books, go outside and hug on Summer. We celebrated his birthday at Lake Oconee with my family. He loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to him and of course opening his presents. It was so fun to have my friend Suzanne there and my sister and her family who was such a trooper making the trip with a newborn still recovering from her c-section. And of course we are always thankful to spend time with Maw Maw and Paw. Thank y'all for making this such a special weekend for my Ty.

We spent the weekend on Hilton Head Island with my parents and my sister and her family. We all had such a great time. So thankful that my parents give us these vacations every year- i will always cherish the memories from these trips and I know my boys will too! I have always loved the beach but having children has made me love it even more. I love watching them play. They are in heaven. They both loved the sand and ocean this year and played outside all day long. They were so tired at the end of the day and so happy.

We love our mail person Tammie. She is one of the highlights of Hudson's day. He runs out to see her everyday. She always takes the time to stop and talk with him and is just so sweet. But we were just floored when we found this box on our doorstep for Hudson's birthday. She said he had told her he wanted something to dig with for his birthday!What a sweet overly generous gift. She is a blessing to our family and I think she definitely deserves mailperson of the year, don't you?

Last Day of Preschool

I am so thankful for Holland Avenue Preschool. Hudson had such a FUN year. He loved his teachers and his friends and he loved going to school. It makes a mama's (and former teacher) heart so happy to see their child have such a great first school experience. He has learned so much this year- the highlight being all of his letters:) On the last day of school, they had a bear picnic. They all brought their teddy bears to school and then their bears "escaped" while they were in the bathroom. They searched around the whole school until they found them waiting outside for a picnic. It was really a sweet time. That night they had their end of the year program. It was a patriotic theme and Hudson had a great time singing!

The Great Easter Egg Hunt

We had an awesome time with Aunt Amy, Uncle Chad, Olivia and Grace at the Orchard Easter Egg Hunt. Their church put out of 30,000 eggs as part of a community event. The boys had a blast. Hudson especially had a great time with his buddy Uncle Chad riding on the golf cart around the fields.

We had about 8 inches of snow fall in Columbia Friday night. It was absolutely beautiful! We played in it a little while on Friday when it started falling. They boys were so so excited. We were all excited to wake up Saturday morning(even with no electricity)to go outside. I was outside taking pictures at sunrise and we were all outside playing by 7:30. Hudson had a great time running around, throwing snowballs, walking through the neighborhood and making a snow angel. Saturday the snow was a little too high for Tyler, he had one good face plant and decided the view was better from mama's hip but he still loved being outside.

Tyler at 18 Months

My baby...my BABY is 18 months. He isn't really a baby anymore, walking around our house as fast as he can, trying to talk, feeding himself, down to one nap... Tyler is my mama's boy. He loves to be with me all. day. long. And I love it. He loves to snuggle and gives slobbery kisses and big hugs. He loves to be held. I am trying to cherish each moment with him at this stage for I know how fleeting it is. And that soon, he will not want to be held all day long. (right?) He loves to play with Hudson too. They love to play with blocks and cars. And he is learning to stick up for himself. He will occasionally hit or push if "someone" takes something from him. It is hard not to laugh but we are continually working with him and Hudson to share and take care of one another.
Tyler is still pretty quiet and serious. Often times out in public, he will absolutely REFUSE to give out a smile to a stranger trying to get his attention. So different from Hudson at this age who would smile and wave at anyone within a 20 foot radius. But at home, he is quite happy and smiles and laughs easily. Hudson is especially good at getting a good laugh out of him.
He is recovering from his second ear infection and is getting in two more teeth. And he has also become quite picky eating. I am hoping as his ears get better and his teeth stop hurting he will revert back to his will eat anything days. He still loves juice and definitely prefers it over milk. His favorite foods right now are fruit and raisons. Oh, and brownies...:) He is sleeping from 7:30 to 7 at night and taking one two hour nap in the afternoon. He likes to sleep with his blue striped blanket and his little puppy blanket. He wishes he could sleep with Hudson's treasured brown bear.
We love our sweet Ty and are so thankful for him.

Hudson at 3 and a half

I can't believe that Hudson will be four in just a few short months. He seems like such a big boy now. He has such a sweet tender heart. He tells me literally 15 times a day that he loves me. Lately he has been telling me I love you to the moon and sun and back. So sweet. He loves to be held and hugged. He loves for Eric to sit with him on the couch and asks for him to several times a day. He also loves to play "bed time" where all the boys jump and wrestle on the bed. Little Tyler loves this now too!
Hudson is loving school.He only goes two mornings a week but is always excited to go. He is learning so much right now. I love to watch his little mind work. He is doing much better recognizing his letters. He still loves doing art- coloring, painting, and his newest love- cutting construction paper into a zillion itty bitty pieces. Fun for mommy to clean up! He has also been really into building with blocks. Tall towers and towns. He still likes to be with me in the kitchen and help me cook. He loves to dance and read books. He will now sit and listen as long as you are willing to read. He also loves for us to make up stories to tell him. And he can make up some pretty great stories himself.
At three and a half, Hudson is very outgoing, energetic and happy! He loves to be around people and enjoys making people laugh and being the center of attention. Ask him to tell you a knock knock joke next time you see him. Although his personality can be a little trying at three we are excited that the Lord is in control of his life and can't wait to see what the Lord will do with his big personality and sweet heart!

We are so thankful for Hudson's school- Holland Avenue Baptist Church. We had a great time today at his Christmas party and program. We played pin the star on the tree, made bagel snowmen, ate lots of good food and sang lots of fun songs.

Well we started off the day with a little lion and Buzz Lightyear but it got way too hot for my little lion and Mr. Lightyear decided around three o'clock that a superhero would be much more fun. Thankfully, my sweet neighbor came to the rescue and dressed the boys up as Batman. Hudson thought he was something else. He got really into his character and saved people all night long. It helped that one of his best friends was Bat Girl:) He has already decided that next year he will be superman and she will be supergirl. We went on our annual neighborhood haywagon ride while we trick or treated. We had a great time and are all enjoying lots of candy!

2009 SC State Fair

Deep Fried Oreos, Feeding the goats, Watching the Pig Races, and Lots of Fun People Watching...

We spent the day at the SC State Fair on Friday and all had SO MUCH FUN. It was the first year we have gotten Hudson a wrist band enabling him to ride as many rides as he wanted. The child has no fear and wanted to ride everything and I think he did ride everything he was tall enough for, his favorites several times. Tyler didn't get to do too much this year but he had fun hanging out with us and watching all the people and animals. Although he did get a really big scare from a cow mooing unexpectedly when we were right next to him. It's the first time I can remember having a cold day at the fair. It was real fall weather! Can't wait to go back next year and Tyler can't wait to join Hudson on those rides!

Oh, how did my sweet baby grow so fast?! Tyler is doing great at 14 months. He continues to be my laid back quiet serious little guy. So different than Hudson at this age. His favorite things right now are snuggling, playing with cars, looking at books, and BALLS! He loves to be held and I spend a lot of time with him on my hip or hanging on to my legs. He can definitely be a little mischievous- he loves emptying book shelves and putting things into and taking things out of the trash can. All of the kitchen cabinets have locks on them and if you leave the bathroom door open he will unroll the entire roll of toilet paper and play in the toilet. When he knows he's been caught, he has an adorable sneaky smile.
He still loves to eat and is sleeping good. We're still hanging on to two naps a day most days unless we're at church. Most nights he sleeps from about 7:30 until 7:00.
Just this past week of so he has gotten very comfortable standing on his own and is starting to take a couple steps here and there. I think he'll be walking in the next couple of weeks. We sure do love our sweet Ty!

My sweet Hudson started preschool for the first time this morning. He will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12. He was super excited about going and was just fine when we left him. One little hug and we were out the door:) I sure do miss my little man this morning and I can't wait to pick him up and hear all about his day!

The boys and I spent a week with Eric in Orlando while he was there to coach a volleyball team. It was fun to spend the week with him and get to know some of his players and parents better. Eric only had to coach half the day so we got to spend the other half of the day playing in Orlando. We went to the pool a lot, went shopping and eating out and went to Disney World and Sea World. It was REALLY hot at Disney World but we had a good time. The look on Hudson's face when he got to meet Mickey Mouse was priceless and something I hope I'll never forget. He is still talking about it. There is truly something a little magical for little kids at Disney World.

Hudson is Three!

My sweet Hudson turned three on May 22nd! How can it be that three years have passed since his birth? Hudson is a smart, busy, inquisitive, loud, fast three year old. My dad always says he has two switches, on and off. He is either awake going full speed or sound asleep. He loves to play and run all day long. He loves to paint, read books and color. He loves to be outside and get dirty. The majority of everyday he can be found with a car in his hand. He has quite a collection now and he loves lining them up and racing them all around the house. He loves to be around people and will talk to the fly on the wall. A walk around our neighborhood takes quite a while because Hudson will stop and talk to EVERYONE he sees and every animal too.

Hudson continues to be a good eater and sleeper. He still takes one nap a day, usually 2 hours in the afternoon. He goes to bed around 8 and gets up around 6:30 or 7. He is a morning boy, like his daddy! When he's up, he is up and ready to go! Eric potty trained him a few months a go and Hudson has done awesome. Hudson does continue to struggle to obey when he doesn't get what he wants and can show his temper too! Parenting a preschooler definitely keeps you humble and praying! I thought i was a patient person before I had kids:)

Hudson really enjoys going to sunday school and church and he will be starting preschool two mornings a week in the fall. I think he will absolutely LOVE it there.

Tyler at nine months

My sweet Tyler is nine months old!! How did that happen? Tyler is such a blessing and a special part of our family. He is sitting up very well now and loves playing with toys. He still shows absolutely no interest in crawling and in fact hates to be put on his belly at all. He can roll over but doesn't that often. Often times when we put him on his belly he simply puts his head down for a little rest. He is eating great and we have been amazed this past week at how much this little man can put away. He is loving table food and I would list his favorites but he eats everything! He loves to pack his little cheeks like a little chipmunk. He is normally a very quiet laid back child but when it comes to meal time he becomes quite vocal. He loves to eat! As soon as we put him in his high chair his hands and feet start shaking with excitement. His two shiny new front teeth are coming in very handy.
Tyler had his first sickness last week with a double ear infection. We are just finishing up his antibiotics and he is feeling much better. I tried to enjoy the few days that all he wanted to do was sit with me and snuggle.
He is much more laid back and reserved than Hudson was at this age and although pretty quiet he is very happy and smiley. He plays shy a lot when someone is talking to him and buries his face into whoever is holding him. He is also VERY ticklish. Even when I am just changing his clothes he cannot contain himself. It cracks me up.
He usually sleeps from about 7:30 at night until 7 in the morning and takes two naps a day.
We are busy loving this precious boy and cannot imagine our family without him!

Spring Break

We headed to Myrtle Beach for a few days for Spring Break. We stayed at Broadway at the Beach and had a great time going out to eat, shopping, letting Hudson ride some rides and going to the aquarium. We also went to the beach for a day and let the boys spend the afternoon playing in the sand.

Hudson at 2 and a half

I can't believe I have a two and a half year old! I want to write a little bit about my sweet boy so I can remember what he is like at this age in the years ahead. The two's are a challenging, busy, loud, hilarious age.

Hudson has a very sweet tender heart. He is quick to say I love you, I'm sorry and gives lots of hugs and kisses. I saw him the other day after he dropped his teddy bear pick him up give him a kiss and ask if he was okay in a little whisper. This teddy bear is his favorite side kick right now. He is referred to as baby bear and he goes everywhere with us and MUST be in the bed when Hudson goes to sleep.

Hudson has also been learning to test his limits. He can have a temper, whine for what he wants, and disobey. He has become very opinionated and independent. We have been working hard to train him to obey quickly the first time. This age definitely keeps you praying for wisdom.

Hudson loves to PLAY! When he is outside he loves to play ball and run around. He likes to throw the ball into the air and try to hit the leaves of the trees. Inside his favorite things to play with right now are cars and trucks. It is hard to walk through my house without stepping on one. He also likes to watch Dora and Diego videos and read books. We have started to have a little "school" time a couple of days a week. He seems to really love this time although his attention span is VERY short. He likes to color, count, and sing. He knows his colors, shapes, numbers to 10and most of the alphabet. We are working on recognizing the letters visually. It is truly amazing how quickly they learn at this age and everything they remember. We also have been having devotions every night before bed where we read a short story and sing a few songs. His favorite songs are Jesus Loves Me, My God is So Big, and God is so Good. He likes to sing a prayer he learned at church before he goes to sleep. And the sweetest thing is that he loves to sing it to Tyler when we put him in his crib to sleep.

He is doing well with Tyler. I think we will have some issues once he has to start sharing but right now since Tyler just stays put he doesn't mind him too much. I pray that they will be great friends as they grow up and I can't wait until they start playing together. Ocasionally, if I am holding Tyler, Hudson will ask me to put him down and want some attention. And he does not like his crying! Fortunately for him, Tyler is a very quiet baby and does not cry much at all.

Hudson is talking A LOT! All day actually:) He can be hard to understand at times and can get frustrated when you don't know what he is saying. It has been so fun though to hear what is going on in his head. He is really funny!

He still takes a nap in the afternoon from about 2 until 4 and sleeps at night from about 8 until 7. He likes to get up early no matter what time he goes to bed at night. We have told him he has to stay in bed until it's light out so EVERY morning he wakes up yelling: No dark out, light out! over and over.

We love this sweet boy and he is such a special part of our family. He keeps our days wild crazy and full of lot of laughter.

A White Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in PA with Eric's family. We had a wonderful time with his family. We always enjoy being there, slowing down and being able to focus on what's most important. And we had a white Thanksgiving! The snow was beautiful and COLD!! Hudson wasn't too sure about it at first. But once he got comfortable he had a blast. He loved being with Eric's parents who he calls Ma Shick and Pa Shick. They spoiled him quickly- they had a bunch of toys and all of his favorite foods waiting for him! And his favorite thing- Eric's dad had made him his own little bed to sleep in. He thought he was something! It sure is nice to have a handy father in law:) We were blessed to be able to spend time with Eric's brother and his wife, his grandparents and aunts uncles and cousins.

Tyler at three months

Tyler is three and a half months now and is a happy healthy baby! I am not sure how much he weighs now but he feels huge to me! We'll find out the stats at his four month check up in December. I am predicting though that he is and will continue to be much bigger than Hudson at his age. He is already almost out growing his 3-6 month clothes! He is smiling a ton now and is cooing a lot too. He is still eating great, usually six times a day. He is doing well at night; last night he slept from 8:00 until 5:30. Yay for Tyler. Hopefully, he'll keep this up. He still naps a lot too during the day either in the swing or in his crib. He goes to sleep on his own usually without a peep. He spends a lot of time on his Baby Einstein Mat, or in the swing. He is just starting to try to grab at toys and has a little lovey teddy bear that he holds on to a lot. We are about to find out if he is a good traveler as we embark on a 12 hour car trip to Pennsylvnia for Thanksgiving. We can't wait to see you Grandma and Grandpa. We're hoping the snow is still there. The boys are ready to sled!

A Day At the Fair

We had a fun day today at the fair. Tyler slept the whole time and Hudson had an absolute blast! He was up for trying anything and LOVED all the rides and animals. Oh, and he didn't mind the chicken fingers, french fries, funnel cake, and fried oreo either.

Tyler is smiling now. So so sweet. I believe the Lord times this day for each child perfectly to be exactly when mama needs it.
And he is sleeping a little longer at night. Go baby go!
A sweet energetic hilarious two year old that makes each day an adventure. I have loved watching him pretend play recently. Yesterday he took a plane ride to Maw Maw and GiGi's house. But GiGi you weren't home. He kept knocking and knocking and you weren't there. Don't worry he said he would come back later.
For an incredible husband that loves us all dearly and works hard everyday so I can stay home with our boys.
Fall weather. I love everything about it. 50 degrees outside right now!
Jeans that finally fit.. well kind of fit. A little tight still but at least they button, I'll take it.

We have been blessed by lots of sweet friends and family coming to visit in the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten pics of everyone but here are a few. We feel well loved!

One Month Old

Today, sweet little Tyler is one month old. Time continues to go by so very quickly I am trying to soak in every little moment of these newborn days, well maybe not all the waking up at night:) Tyler is doing wonderfully. He is still eating every three hours or so and will occassionally give me a four or five hour stretch at night. It is amazing how long five hours of sleep feels like when you are used to waking up every three. This is definitely the hardest part of this season for me. I like my sleep. Eight consecutive hours please Tyler. He is awake a little more during the day. He loves laying on the Baby Einstein mat and sitting in the swing.

I feel like I am finally getting into some normal everyday routines with my two boys. The three of us ventured to the grocery store for the first time yesterday. It went well although I have to admit talking to my sister in the parking lot asking her, "Now, how do I get everyone inside?" You know the two year old who needs his hand held, the newborn in his infant carrier, my purse and diaper bag. I am sure mamas of three and four are thinking "if you only knew, honey". But with a little coaching from Amy we figured it out and had a successful trip purchasing all of 10 items:) Tyler slept the whole time and Hudson was quite content with his half of a sugar cookie from the Publix bakery.

A couple of weeks ago, my dad "Paw Paw" flew in on a private plane for the first USC home football game. Of course, Hudson was super excited make his first trip to the airport to watch the planes and pick up Paw Paw. I think this may just be his new favorite place to go.

Two Weeks Old

It is hard to believe my sweet baby Tyler is two weeks old today. The Lord has blessed us with such a precious easy going baby and he has been such an incredible addition to our family. He is doing really well. He is still sleeping a lot - he will usually only be awake for an hour or so a couple of times of day. He loves to eat and eats every three hours day and night. He is a very quiet baby. We have nicknamed him little peep squeak because the only little noises he makes are little squeaks . He has only cried out a few times since we've been home and only for a second or two at that. When he wakes up and wants to eat, he just makes little grunting or squeaking noises to let you know he is hungry. He had his first bath yesterday after his umbilical cord fell off and seemed to love it. Hudson of course loved watching and helping. Hudson has adjusted well to being a big brother. He loves to give Tyler lots of hugs and kisses and always wants to know where he is and what he's doing. There have definitely been a few times where I can tell he is a little out of sorts or missing being the center of attention but overall I am so proud of the way he is dealing with all the changes and so thankful that God has called me to be the mama of these two little boys.

Well Taken Care Of

My mom stayed with us a week after we came home from the hospital and Eric's mom flew in from Pennsylvania on Wednesday and will be here for a week as well. We are all being spoiled rotten. These mamas are amazing and so selfless in taking care of all four of us .

Tyler just couldn't wait until Monday. My water broke in the middle of the night on Saturday and the contractions began. We got to the hospital around 3 and he was born by c-section at 9:15. It has been a great day and we are thankful for a happy healthy baby.He is 7 lbs 5 oz, 19.5 inches long and cute as can be.

It is hard to believe that our sweet baby boy will be born on Monday! I have a c-section scheduled for Monday morning at 9:30! I cannot wait to see his little face. These past few weeks have flown by. It has been a fun time for our family, loving having Daddy off of work, getting stuff done around our house, enjoying the last days of Hudson as an only child, and anticipating life with two boys! Although I am more than ready to have this little one, I am trying to soak up these last couple of days of the miracle of pregnancy. I know that I will miss all of these kicks and movements keeping me up all night.

Hilton Head

A couple of weeks ago, we were blessed to be able to spend the week with my family in Hilton Head. We all had a great time and were spoiled by Maw Maw and Paw. Thank you for such a wonderful week! As you can see from the pics, Hudson was in heaven all week- he loved the ocean, playing in the sand, looking for boats and seashells, jumping in the pool and playing playing playing with everyone.

Hudson's New Room

We have been in the midst of some remodeling and rearranging rooms over the past several weeks. This week we decided to move Hudson from the nursery to a big boy bed. He has done great!! We talked about his new room for several days. He helped me go through all his toys and picked out the ones he wanted to pass along to his baby brother and we moved the other ones to his new room. He was very excited and when it came to the next naptime he walked right into his new room and hasn't looked back since. He still likes to sleep with his blanket, ducky, puppy and Elmo. So far, we haven't let him get out of bed when he wakes up. He has to call for mommy or daddy to come get him. He had fun practicing that. This is the fifth night in his new room!

Olivia's Baptism

This past weekend, our family traveled to Atlanta for this sweet girl's baptism. It is hard to believe how much my sister's little girl Olivia is changing and growing. Slow down little one! I love this picture because this is how she responded when asked, " How much do you love your Aunt KK?" She knows how to make her auntie happy.

Hudson had a great time playing with Grace and seeing everyone in my family. He LOVES going to Aunt Amy's house!

We were so blessed to have Eric's parents drive down from Pennsylvania last week to visit! As soon as they drove up the drive way Hudson ran as fast as he could to greet them.

We all had such a great time and are always so encouraged after being around them. They spoiled Hudson with lots of hugs, snuggling, and playing. It was such a sweet time to share this season of Hudson's life with them. We love y'all!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend at the lake with Maw Maw, Paw Paw, Uncle Chad, Aunt Amy, Grace, and Olivia celebrating Hudson's second birthday! He had a great time swimming, going on a boat ride, playing with lots of cars and trucks, hitting the golf ball with daddy, going on golf cart rides, and eating cake! A Year Ago....

At your 2nd Birthday Party!

You're still loving your cake and mama is still loving those sweet blue eyes! Hudson, it is so hard to believe that you are already two years old! You are a sweet, loving, car and truck playing, independent, hilarious, outdoor boy. You continue to bring so much joy and laughter into our family. When you are awake, you are always on the go. You love to run "fast" and I love how your tuck your arms up underneath you when you're trying to go really fast. You love for someone to call out, "one, two, three, GO!!". In typical two year old fashion, you have become very independent and love to do things by yourself. Of course, sometimes mommy and daddy don't let you and you can get quite frustrated. You still love to be outside and love to play with your big trucks and hunt for rocks and sticks and bugs. So far you have found a lady bug, ants, a frog and a catepillar. You're still a great little sleeper. You go to bed around 8 at night and wake up around seven just in time to tell daddy bye before he leaves for work. You like to watch him as he pulls out of the drive way and love y'all's special routine of him flashing his lights and honking his horn at you. You take one nap in the afternoon around 1:30 for two to three hours. Let's hang on to this as long as possible, deal? You have become a little pickier eater and definitely have an opionion about what you would like more of. You still LOVE milk and would drink a million glasses a day if I would let you. You had your first "real" sickness this past week while you and I were visiting Maw Maw and Paw Paw. It is called Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. You had a high fever, a rash all over your body and wouldn't eat or drink anything for several days. I think you literally spent almost every waking hour for three days in either Maw Maw or Mommy's arms. It was very hard to see you so sick and made me so thankful for each healthy day we have with you! Your daddy and I are so very proud of you Hudson and are having so much fun watching you grow into the boy God made. We pray for you everyday and are so excited to continue watching his awesome plans unfold. May you always seek His glory first and always keep that bright blue eyed excitement for his world. We love you dear son.

While our kitchen is being renovated, Hudson and I have been spending time with Maw Maw and Paw Paw both at the lake and in Stone Mountain. We have both been spoiled rotten and are loving it:) This past weekend, Eric joined us at the lake and he and Hudson had a great time swimming in the pool and playing outside. I love to see how much Hudson LOVES his daddy!

After watching Grace in the pool last weekend, Hudson quickly warmed up to being in the pool and loved to Jump! By the way, we love the farmer's tan daddy!

On Wednesday, we went to the Yellow River Game Ranch with Maw Maw, Aunt Amy, Grace, Olivia and Grace's friend Aiden. I could not believe when we walked in the door and were immediately greeted by five deer all ready to eat right from our hands!! They even started going through my diaper bag and stole some of Hudson's snacks!! It was so fun. The kids loved seeing and feeding all the animals. Even the squirrels ate from his hands! Thanks for such a fun day Aunt Amy!

24 Weeks

Here is an updated pregnancy shot at 24 weeks. I am still feeling great and this little boy is kicking me all the time! I have my quick monthly doctor's appointment tomorrow for a weight and heart beat check. It is amazing how quickly these weeks seem to be flying by. No real pregnancy complaints yet. The middle trimester always seems pretty easy. A comment I seem to get all the time when asked my due date is wow, you have the whole summer to be pregnant; you are going to be so hot! Get ready Maw Maw and Paw Paw- we are looking forward to lots of trips to the pool.

Saturday Volleyball

Eric got to play in a outdoor volleyball tournament on Saturday. Highlights of the day for Hudson were being outside, cheering for daddy (jump! hit! go!), drinking Gatorade from Daddy's water bottle, throwing volleyballs,working on his tan, eating lots of snacks, giving all daddy's friends high fives, and flirting with all the ladies. He is quite the charmer I tell ya.

Twenty Weeks

It is certainly hard to believe that I am almost half way through my second pregnancy. I really enjoy being pregnant and try not to take for granted what an awesome privilege it is to play a part in one of the Lord's most amazing miracles. This pregnancy has been great so far. Just this past week, I started feeling the baby move especially at night when I lay down after running around all day. It is the best feeling in the world. I had my ultrasound yesterday. Everything looked great and we found out we're having another BOY!! I am so excited for Hudson to have a little brother and I love to think about the days ahead of them playing together. I will have another c-section and it looks like it will be scheduled for Monday, August 11th which is also Eric and I's 7th anniversary! We are so blessed.

Charleston

When we heard it was going to be 75 degrees in Charleston on Friday, we just couldn't resist driving down for the day. We went downtown in the morning to shop in the market and eat some seafood for lunch. After lunch we headed to Folly Beach. The water was cold but it felt so nice to lay on the beach and Hudson loved playing in the sand.
