Twenty one things...

Twenty one things to remember about Hudson at 21 months...
1. He is talking a ton. Learning new words everyday. He'll try to repeat almost anything you say. He just learned to say his name yesterday! But my favorite is that he still has his own babble language. I love it. He will go on and on.
2. He loves to dance. He cracked us up the other night trying to dance to the Jeopardy theme song.
3. He loves to make animal sounds. Monkeys are the favorite right now.
4. Waking up in the morning is a ton of fun, he is always smiling and literally jumping up and down in his crib. Waking up from naps in the afternoon is a different story. He usually wakes up a little grumpy and needs some mommy snuggling to get ready to face the rest of the day.
5. He loves to help me cook. He loves to pull up a chair to stand on next to the kitchen counter to help me stir and mix. Good thing Summer likes to stand beside me too because messes lately have become much bigger.
6. He has come to finally love the nursery during church and bible study. One of the sweetest things he has learned is to pull out the chairs for the girls for snack time.
7. Elmo is his best friend. We bring him everywhere and he must be in the crib for bed time. He treats Elmo very well (most of the time) always sharing his milk and snacks with him.
8. He has learned to close his eyes while we pray. He was frustrated for a couple of weeks when he was trying to keep them closed and couldn't and would actually cry a little and say eyes, eyes, eyes. Now that he can keep them closed he is so proud. When we're done praying now he gets a big smile on his face and says EYES! Like I did it, I did it!
9. Milk is his drink of choice. He loves it and asks for it all day long.
10. He has to go to time out when he disobeys. Most of the time this is for hitting. He hits things when he is frustrated or is told no or occasionally just when he is excited. He independently walks to time out and will stay there until you go get him. He hasn't learned to say sorry yet but will always give hugs and kisses to whatever or whoever he hit. Most days this is Summer:)
11. He loves hats. Whenever we are out in public and he spots someone with a hat, he points and says loudly hat hat. He also loves gamecocks. He can spot them anywhere.
12. He still loves to be outside. Thankfully, he no longer tries to eat acorns. I told him that they are for the squirrels to eat so now when he finds an acorn he walks around the yard looking for squirrels saying eat eat.
13. He still loves for us to read books to him. His favorites right now are one on cars and one about wild animals.
14. He loves to color and he loves to eat crayons. A very fun combintation.
15. The highlight of the day is daddy coming home. It always has been. I love it.
16. He loves to make a big pallet on the floor and will ask for more and more blankets and pillows.
17. HE LOVES TRUCKS!
18. If you ask him the color of anything, he will say blue.
19. He loves to laugh and is quite funny.
20. Whenever he sees sports of any kind on tv or a picture he will yell GO and put his fist in the air.
21. He is going to be a great big brother. That's right, in case you haven't heard, we're expecting another baby at the beginning of August.
