Merry Christmas Everyone!

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

We had a wonderful time celebrating Hudson's first Christmas. We spent most of the holidays with Carrie's family in Atlanta. Christmas Eve morning we went to church with Uncle Chad, Aunt Amy and Grace. Chad and Eric went to the Falcons football game that afternoon while the girls and babies slaved away in the kitchen (okay okay Maw Maw did all the cooking). Christmas Eve night we opened gifts at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's. We continues the tradition of reading the Christmas story together and eating a birthday cake for Jesus.

Christmas Day we went to Chad and Amy's for breakfast. Hudson and Grace had a great time playing with their new toys. They loved Grace's new wagon and their new friend Elmo! After a nap, we went to the Georgia Aquarium. I think Hudson liked it almost as much as Eric!

When the cat's away...

The mice will play. This was what I came home to today. Daddy and Hudson had a little fun with a marker huh? This is after it was "washed off".

Grandpa and Grandma

We were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa come visit us this past weekend. Hudson was spoiled quickly and I don't think a smile left his face the whole time. He sure does love his Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks for coming to visit! We miss you already.

Someone's on the naughty list

We took Hudson for his first visit with Santa tonight at Columbiana Mall. He fell in love with the jolly old fellow immediately. He gave him a big smile and preceded to grab a fist full of his beard that I had to pry out of his little hands. Santa didn't seem too thrilled. Looks like it will be coal for Hudson this year.

Who Wouldn't?

Want to come home to these sweet faces?
Summer apologizes for the dirty window. It is hard to keep a clean window when you're squirrel hunting.

An early Christmas celebration

This past weekend, we were able to celebrate Christmas a little early with our extended family in Columbia. It was great to have everyone together. Amy, Chad, and Grace came in town Friday night and Carrie's mom and dad came in Saturday. Saturday night we spent time with Uncle John and Aunt Kathy at their house. Hudson seemed to enjoy opening gifts, aka eating wrapping paper. He got a fun musical tool box. I know it will be put to good use. Sunday we had a full happy house with Hudson's great grandma (Gigi) and the Potter and Johnson families coming over for lunch. Hudson got several more fun toys. He's got lots of playing to do!
